In this tutorial, we will cover the basics of setting up an account with Wix.

1. Head to wix.com. In the upper right hand corner, click "sign in". If you already have an account, login with your email and password, otherwise, click "Sign up" and register your account.​​

2. Once you are logged in, you will be taken to the main dashboard, which will show you all of your websites. To create a new site, click the large "create a new site" button (for new users) or the "Create new site" button in the upper right (for users who already have a website).

3. You will be asked what type of site you want to create. Unless you already have a specific idea about what type of website you will be creating, you can just go ahead and click "Other".

4. Click "Choose a template" on the right - this allows for more customization with your theme

5. The templates are arranged in categories (on the left), but you can browse all templates if you aren't looking for anything in particular or you can't find a match easily

6. Note that while you can change nearly aspect of your website, such as fonts, images, colours, multimedia content, and much more, it is a good idea to choose a template which is similar to what you want your website to look like, so that you don't need to do as much editing.

7. Once you have chosen your template, click "Edit". This takes you to your main site editor.
